Good morning students!
In Social Science, we are going to start a new unit which is about... PREHISTORY
During this unit, we are going to make a thinking routine (rutina de pensamiento) using this guide:
K-W-L (Know, Want, Learned).
Copy this chart on a piece of paper or on a WORD document and fill (completa) this two columns: K and W
To present this project you can make a digital presentation (una presentación digital) using PowerPoint, Prezi...
Or you can make a physical presentation using paper or cardboard (cartulina).
During this project, you need to investigate using the internet, with the help of an adult.
THE STEPS
1. Choose a cave with prehistoric paintings. You can choose Altamira cave, which is in the video or, if you prefer, you can choose a different one.
2. Find out (averigua) where the cave is located (dónde está la cueva). You can add a map too! The more information the better! (cuanta más información mejor)
3 When was it painted? Aproximately, of course!
4. What type of images are painted?: animals, human, symbols...
5. Do the images look like (parecen que) have volume? Do any natural features (elementos naturales) help give them volume?
6. Which colours can you see? Is black used for the outlines (siluetas)?
7. Answer these questions:
a: Can you visit the cave?
b: Is the entrance restricted (restringida) to a number of visitors?
c: What are the opening hours?
d: How much time (durante cuanto tiempo) can you be inside the cave?
Use as many images as you can! (todas las imágenes que puedas)
You can add up (añadir) more information. The more the better!!
And remember to send this project to your Social Science teacher: Jose or Javi.
And on top of that (sobre todo)...
In Social Science, we are going to start a new unit which is about... PREHISTORY
During this unit, we are going to make a thinking routine (rutina de pensamiento) using this guide:
K-W-L (Know, Want, Learned).
- K stands for KNOW (lo que sabes). In this column, we write what you already know about prehistory (escribimos cosas que ya sabemos de la prehistoria).
- W stands for WANT (lo que quieres saber). In this column we write what you want to know (lo que te gustaría aprender sobre la prehistoria)
Copy this chart on a piece of paper or on a WORD document and fill (completa) this two columns: K and W
- When we finish the unit (cuando terminemos la unidad) we will fill the third column: L, which stands for LEARNED! (lo aprendido en la unidad).
